We’re Shawn & Kate and we are explorers just like you!

In 2016 we got married, sold all of our “stuff” and took a leap of faith quitting our careers of 12 and 10 years to travel full time.

For a little over 2 years we backpacked around the world visiting 30 countries on 5 continents, spent time overlanding and living out of our Jeep, and capped it off with a full continuous thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail walking 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada.

After the trail we settled down in Denver, CO for awhile to take advantage of all the beautiful American west has to offer; Hiking, mountain biking, climbing, skiing, and riding out the pandemic.

Although Colorado is amazing, at the end of 2021 we started to get the itch to travel again and so we once again sold all of our things, put the remainder in storage, and hit the proverbial trail.

Since then we’ve continued to explore the far reaches of the world from Antarctica to Svalbard and many places in between as full time digital nomads. We’ve done some amazing long distance hiking in Pakistan, Europe, Bhutan, Patagonia, UK and Scandinavia.

If you’re a veteren of this blog, you’ll notice we’ve changed the format to be more focused and hiking centric. Since we spend a lot of time off the beaten path and are passionate about long hikes, we felt this was the best way to bring value to our readers.
